
DAY 1 :
Max Verstappen dominated the first day of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit. He set the fastest times in both morning and afternoon sessions.
Verstappen managed to complete an impressive mileage, covering more than two race distances.
McLaren and Ferrari followed behind on the timesheets with Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz taking over from their teammates.
Daniel Ricciardo narrowly avoided a flying wing mirror from Lance Stroll's car, securing fourth place for Red Bull.
Alpine's Pierre Gasly had a close call with Sainz but finished fifth.
Fernando Alonso ended up in eighth place after his morning efforts.
Williams' Logan Sargeant faced disruptions due to a spin and suspected driveshaft issue.
George Russell was the sole Mercedes driver in action, finishing in 12th place.
Haas pair Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg were at the back of the pack, with Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez set to join the pre-season testing on Thursday.
DAY 2:
Carlos Sainz took charge on the second day of pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit. He topped the timesheets with a faster lap than his Ferrari teammate, Charles Leclerc. Sainz completed 84 laps in the afternoon, while Leclerc had 54 in the morning.
The session was cut short due to a track inspection caused by Leclerc running over a drain cover officially making the rivalry between ferraris and drains even fiercer.
Despite the disruption, Sergio Perez of Red Bull finished the day in second place.
Lewis Hamilton had his first full day of testing in the Mercedes and completed over 100 laps, securing the third fastest time.
Lando Norris, in the McLaren, came in fourth after dealing with a minor fuel system issue.
Daniel Ricciardo continued to impress for Red Bull with the fifth fastest time.
Logan Sargeant faced some difficulties on track, but still managed to complete 117 laps.
The pre-season testing will continue with Alex Albon taking over for Williams on Friday.
DAY 3:
Day 3 of pre-season testing in Bahrain ended with Charles Leclerc from Ferrari on top.
He managed to clock a lap of 1 minute 30.322 seconds on the C5 Pirelli tyres, making him the fastest of the day.
George Russell from Williams came in second place.
The session was interrupted in the morning because of an incident with Sergio Perez from Red Bull, but they resumed and continued through the day until evening.
Temperature started to drop as afternoon approached, giving a more realistic feel for the Bahrain Grand Prix which takes place after sunset.
Leclerc kept his top spot throughout the day with Russell and Zhou Guanyu also finishing strong.
Max Verstappen from Red Bull took fourth place after taking over from Perez.
Alex Albon from Williams completed the most mileage for the day with 121 laps and ended up in sixth place.
Overall, the teams will now examine the day's data before the season starts next week with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
